NEW YORK (PIX11)– He’s starred in more than 85 films and earned himself an academy award nomination.

Now Danny Aiello had released a memoir about his life and career “I Only Know Who I Am When I Am Somebody Else.”

He sat down with Lisa at Sardi’s on 44th Street.

Danny talks about: his acting career taking off on 44th street at the age of 36…his tough life growing up where he was a high school drop out and resorted to a life of crime, working with Robert DeNiro and making fun of him when he had to teach DeNiro how to play baseball for a movie (he days DeNiro didn’t know how to throw a ball) and about his lasting marriage of 60 years.
