FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) -- Thanksgiving is less than three weeks away, and for many New Yorkers, that means preparing for one of the holiday's most famous traditions: the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The parade will debut six new balloons this year, including the Pillsbury Doughboy, the Pokemon Pikachu and the red Power Ranger, Paddington, Skylander's Eruptor and Thomas the Tank Engine. The new balloons were inflated and flown for the first time at a parking lot at Citi Field.

Flight operators also tested out a brand new balloonicle, which is a hybrid between a balloon and vehicle, of the Aflac Duck.

The 88th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will kick off at 9 a.m. on Nov. 27.
