TRENTON, N.J. (AP) – Incumbent Democratic Sen. Cory Booker is returning to Washington for a full, six-year term after defeating Jeff Bell.

In a fiery speech focused on the United States as much as New Jersey, Booker Tuesday night called on lawmakers in Washington to put partisan differences aside and to get to work on a struggling economy.

Booker says he’s focused on working with Congress to change the tax system, infrastructure projects, education, and working to change the culture in Washington.
