Police release chilling surveillance video of fatal 2013 Halloween shooting

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 37-year-old Brooklyn man was among the three people killed and several others injured last year in a spate of Halloween violence, and police are asking for the public's help in closing the case.

Kevin Thompson was found with a gunshot wound to the neck on Park Place in Brownsville around 11:30 Thursday night. Thompson was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Surveillance shows a suspect wearing a camouflage jacket, a ski cap and yellow boots open fire into a Brownsville store.

Two other men, a 19-year-old from East Flatbush and a 46-year-old from East New York, were shot and killed overnight.

Several other people were shot in Bed-Stuy, Jamaica and the Rockways.
