THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 63-year-old woman was killed Friday night after a subway train hit her in the head in the Bronx, police said.
The woman appeared to be stumbling on the platform at the 167th Street station, lost her balance and fell in the path of a northbound No. 4 train just before 8 p.m., police said. The train was pulling in and hit the woman in the head.
The woman was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Police did not release the woman’s name. They are continuing to investigate, but don’t believe there was any foul play involved.
