NEW YORK (AP) — For one night, Gracie Mansion was a haunted house.

De Blasio, his wife Chirlane McCray, and their two teenage children moved into the Manhattan mansion this year.

They are the first family to reside there since 2001. De Blasio’s predecessor Michael Bloomberg chose to remain in his home.

De Blasio is unafraid to be goofy and has said in the past that a pirate outfit is his “go-to” Halloween costume.

He was vague when he explained this year’s costume to the NY Post.

“They say I’m dressed as Zeus, but we’re not going to affiliate with any specific gods,” he said.

Guests were asked to bring a non-perishable food item for a charity drive.
