NEW YORK (PIX11) – Aussie eatery Pie Face has suddenly closed all but one of its New York City locations.

An employee at the remaining Pie Face on 9th Avenue and 36th Street confirmed that the other shops locked their doors earlier this week, but couldn’t comment further.

Calls to the corporate offices were not returned.

Specializing in sweet and savory Australian-style pies and gourmet coffee, Pie Face was founded in 2003, and arrived in New York City in 2011.

The first NYC Pie Face opened at West 53rd and Broadway, and the company opened six more locations, several in the last two years.
