(PIX11) — Apple released images and details about the iPad 2 and iPad mini 3 Wednesday — one day before the products were expected to be revealed during an event.

The new products were listed on pages 2 and 3 of the iPad User Guide for iOS 8 in iBooks. The leaked images say the new iPad and iPad mini will both feature a Touch ID sensor. Both devices also appear to look the same as their current versions, but no other details were released.

It is unclear who is responsible for publishing the photos into iBooks. The leaked photos were also discovered shortly after Google and Android made their own new product announcements, TechCrunch reported.
