TOMS RIVER, N.J. (PIX11) – A group of pups in New Jersey are off to the races – the mayoral races.

They’re “competing” for Toms River Pet Mayor and they’re all therapy dogs that visit homebound senior citizens in Ocean County.

The digital “polls” opened Sept. 19 and close Nov. 5 – the day after the national midterm elections, with human candidates.
