GUILDERLAND (PIX11) — Police in an Albany suburb are investigating a quadruple homicide that took the lives of a man, woman and two young boys, officials announced Thursday.

Officers discovered the bodies when they reported to the Western Avenue address Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m. The victims, whose names were not released, include a 37-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and two boys ages 7 and 10 — all of Chinese descent.

The boys attended Guilderland Elementary School. They were in the second and fifth grades. The school sent out a letter to parents about the incident Thursday afternoon. Grief counselors and school psychologists will be available for students affected by the tragedy.

Officials said in a press conference Thursday that the investigation is ongoing. No suspects or motives have yet been identified in the case. Translators are working police who say the victims’ family and several people who may have information all speak several different dialects of Chinese, CBS6Albany reported.
