TRENTON, NJ (PIX11) – Two New Jersey residents are thousands of dollars richer after winning smaller Mega Millions prizes, and the jackpot continues to grow — now it has reached $136 million.

On Monday, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that there were no first or second place winners, but two third place winners scored $5,000 each.  One of the lucky tickets was sold at United Mart Dollar Plus Convenience at 1703 Sicklerville Road in Sicklerville, and the other at Wawa #723 located at 629 Chews Landing Road in Lindenwold.

To score the $5,000 prize one needs to correctly pick four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball.

“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold all of those winning tickets,” said Hedinger.  “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”  The winning numbers for the Friday, Oct. 3 drawing were: 03, 20, 34, 58, and 67.  The Gold Mega Ball was 06, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.

The Mega Millions jackpot rolls to $136,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 11:00 pm.  Watch live New Jersey Lottery drawings for the Pick-3, Pick-4, Jersey Cash 5,   Pick-6 and CASH4LIFE games at the Lottery website (, or on the official Lottery Facebook Page.
