Protecting yourself from the enterovirus D68

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- There are four deaths that may be linked to this virus -- one victim was a child from our area.

Doctors say prevention is common sense, but apparently, families are not getting the message.

Checklist for your children:
- Teach them to wash their hands properly (at least 20 seconds). Have them sing the Happy Birthday song twice.
- Give them personal packs of tissues to keep with them at all times. As alternative, remind them to sneeze and cough into their arm.
