WASHINGTON D.C. (PIX11) --  The man who jumped the fence at the White House got way further into the President's home than was first reported.

According to the Washington Post, Omar Gonzalez -- who was carrying a knife -- ran through a front door, which was unlocked, then overpowered a Secret Service agent.

After that, he allegedly ran through the vestibule, down the hallway, into the East Room, and eventually was tackled trying to get into the Green Room.

Tuesday on Capitol Hill, lawmakers will grill the head of the Secret Service about whether the agency is doing enough to protect the President.
