MORRIS PARK, Bronx (PIX11) — A 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death, and three other teens suffered stab wounds at a birthday party in the Bronx early Sunday morning.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. at an apartment complex at Pelham Parkway South and Barnes Avenue.
Justin Fallu, was stabbed in the chest. Two 18-year-olds were also stabbed in the chest, and a 17-year-old was stabbed in the shoulder, according to police.
All four were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where Fallu was pronounced dead. The older teens are expected to recover.
“He wasn’t a kid who liked violence. He was always wanting to play the game, just hang out and have fun,” said Bryant Cunningham, Fallu’s neighbor.
A fight at the party escalated, from inside an apartment to the building’s lobby, then spilled onto the street, said police. It’s not yet clear what sparked the argument or at what point the stabbings took place. Investigators worked through the day piecing together the evidence.
At the building in the Wakefield section where Fallu lived, neighbors who had become friends, like 15-year-old Dimitrius Byer, were heartbroken.
“He was a good kid, played basketball, made everybody laugh,” said Byer. “He was the main thing in the building. He had little kids looking up to him.”
So far, no arrests have been made.
