MEATPACKING DISTRICT (PIX11) -- An old rail line is alive again.
The last part of the High Line will be opening this weekend.
The park sits atop railroad tracks that formerly carried goods to the Meatpacking district. It has become one of the city's most well-known spots.
The new section begins at 10th Avenue on Manhattan's west side and stretches along 30th Street to 12th Avenue, and from there it continues to 34th Street.
Elected leaders and supporters will be attending the opening.
In Queens, an abandoned section of the LIRR has people talking about a park, as well. Although some would like to see it become a transit corridor once again.
