(PIX11) — Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is unapologetic about a 20 cent tip he left a Philadelphia waiter.

“The 20 cent tip was kind of a statement,” McCoy said during a scheduled press conference. “I didn’t do anything wrong and if I had to do it again, I’d do it the same way.”

McCoy spoke out after the owner of the burger joint PYT posted a picture of McCoy’s $60 bill on Facebook, and blasted the footballer for being rude and disrespectful to his waitstaff.

“Just to be honest, like I’m always, I tip on my service,” McCoy said. “I think there’s a difference between good service and bad service or just having a bad day. There’s a big difference with just being rude and disrespectful. That’s how that went,” McCoy said.

Charlie Sheen offered the waiter $1000 to make up for the lackluster tip.

I agree with his decision. If I left the same tip would it be posted on fb? People have to understand that you do not get praised for a job poorly done!!! If I have to constantly look for my waiter or my silverware is dirty or the food isn’t what I asked for that all falls on you. You’re the middleman you are the the one asking how may I help you and can I take your order. If you can’t make sure I’m pleased I’ll make sure it shows in your tip! Your job is to serve the customer. Tips are not mandatory so there for you must work for it. I never leave less then $10 however if the service sucks you get nothing! And if you want to know why I will have no problem telling you why I left a tip with your colleague instead of you!!!
