NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- Looking to cash in on your favorite sports team? Governor Chris Christie is allowing people to legally bet on sports in New Jersey.

The governor issued a directive today allowing casinos and racetracks to offer sports betting.

This decision will most likely be challenged in court by professional and collegiate teams.

Christie argues nothing in New Jersey law prohibits sports betting in casinos and race tracks.
