MAHOPAC (PIX11) – The first day of classes at Mahopac High School and Middle School were interrupted mid-morning when police locked down the campuses.
Police were searching for a suspect last seen along Baldwin Place Road, which runs alongside the schools. Mahopac High School Principal Dr. Adam Pease tweeted, “MHS is in a Lockdown. All are safe and secure. More info to follow soon in a message from the Supt.”
Police gave the all-clear just before 10:30 a.m., and student schedules were adjusted.
