Birds strike three planes at LaGuardia Airport

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Three planes landed safely at LaGuardia Airport Wednesday after striking birds, authorities said.

No passengers were hurt and no damage was reported, according to Steve Coleman with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The flights involved were all landing and were Delta 4127, Delta 5432 and Express Jet 5400.

The first bird strike happened about 7:18 a.m. and the last happened about 8:45 a.m., Coleman said.
