WOODBURY, NY (PIX11) — A family is putting off wedding plans after the father of the bride mysteriously vanished just hours after a tuxedo fitting.

Suzanne Locascio says her father, Raymond Locascio, disappeared on July 8. The 62-year-old man had just dropped off his wife, Barbara, in Monroe and was on his way to work in Peekskill, CBS New York reported.

But when the Locascio family received a call from Raymond’s job about him not showing up, they got worried and called police.

Two days after his disappearance, Locascio’s Ford Taurus was found off Route 6 in Woodbury, CBS New York reported. His car was pointed in the direction of Monroe and not towards his job like it should have been.

Barbara Locascio said the family has money problems and their house is on foreclosure, but does not believe those are factors in her husband’s disappearance. The father of the bride already picked out a song for the wedding’s father-daughter dance and was “so excited” for the wedding, Barbara told the station.

“He’s a diabetic. He hadn’t had lunch. He works crazy hours. He had been up since two in the morning,” Barbara told CBS New York.

State police are still investigating and have not ruled out anything from foul play to suicide.
