Superman comic sells for $3.2 million

(PIX11) --The auction for the original Superman comic book from June 1938, was closed late Sunday night. It was the highest price ever paid for a comic book. The best condition copy of action comics issue number one to exist, sold for $3.2 million on E-bay.

The 1938 comic marks the very first appearance of Superman. With only 50 copies of the issue that still exists, only a few are in good condition.

No word on who the winning bidder is.
