NEW YORK (AP) — The NYPD is investigating graffiti found on Staten Island as a possible bias crime.

The Staten Island Advance reports the graffiti was found on several cars Sunday morning.

Someone scrawled curse words and an apparent anti-black slur on the vehicles.

It was found about a half-mile from where thousands of people attended a peaceful march and rally on Saturday to protest the custody death of Eric Garner.

It’s not clear whether there’s any connection.
