HAMILTON HEIGHTS (PIX11) – JetBlue is helping a family say their final goodbyes to their daughter who tragically died in a fire in Hamilton Heights.
The family of 15-year-old Melissa Mendez did not have enough money to fly to the Dominican Republic to bury their daughter.
An executive at JetBlue read about their problem and decided to step in.
The airline will fly down seven members of the family for free. JetBlue will also take care of transporting the girl’s body.
