(PIX11) -- A nationwide recall of bean bag chairs has been made by Ace Bayou Corporation following the death of two children.

The company is recalling 2.2 million of its bean bag chairs, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The problem with the bean bags sold before July 2013 is that children can open them, crawl inside and either choke on the foam beans or suffocate.

The recall follows the death of two children.

Ian Welton, 13, died in 2011 after he unzipped his bean bag chair, crawled in, became stuck and suffocated, KHOU reported. A 3-year-old Kentucky girl reportedly died in a similar way.
