TRENTON , N.J. (PIX11/AP) -- Police in New Jersey said they captured a man who allegedly posed as a police officer and preyed on women.

Officers arrested Gustavo Garcia, 54, Sunday afternoon in Trenton, a day after the alleged crimes.

Police say he walked into a store about 1 p.m. Saturday and told a woman working there that he was a police officer. They saw he showed her a small black radio and a handgun.

Authorities say he took the woman into a bathroom and physically and sexually assaulted her before leaving the store.
