PORT JERVIS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Streets in Port Jervis were under water, power was knocked out and trees were snapped in half by a powerful storm that swept through the area.

Some residents called it the worst flooding they’d seen in years.

Much of the water had receded as the sun rose Friday, but the cleanup continued as thousands remained without electricity.

No injuries were reported in the storm.

Nice report, too bad the flooding and damage was on the other side of town. Near the Delaware River bridge. I drove through PJ on my way home that night @11pm and at that time there was no flooding at all on East or West Main St(s)(up to the Park Ave “y”). You might want to fact-check before you air a report.
