One dead, one injured after boat catches fire in Port Washington

PORT WASHINGTON (PIX11) - One person is dead and another injured after a boat caught fire Wednesday in a Port Washington marina.

The blaze broke out on a 26-foot craft docked at the Manhasset Bay Marina just before 3 p.m.  The blaze sent black smoke billowing into the air.

The cause of the fire is not known, but a fueling accident is suspected.

An investigation is ongoing.
