CLYMER, N.Y. (AP) — A woman has been charged with drunken driving after her car crashed into a horse-drawn buggy in western New York.
Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies say two parents and four children were riding in the buggy on a rural road in the town of Clymer on Friday evening when they were struck from behind by a vehicle.
Deputies say vehicle’s driver, Ann C. Beebe, was charged with driving while intoxicated and other traffic offenses. Police did not release her age or hometown.
The unidentified mother on the buggy and one of her children were taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
It could not be determined Sunday if Beebe had a lawyer.
