Protestors rally around NYC in solidarity with Ferguson after shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Protestors rallied across New York City Thursday in solidarity with Ferguson, Missouri after the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown by police.

The "Ferguson Day of Rage" protest was organized via social media and quickly shared with thousands.


Protests were planned for Union Square, Harlem, Bed-Stuy and Jamaica but marchers also began gathering in Times Square.

Supporters chanted "Hands up, don't shoot!" as they walked through the streets around NYPD officers.
