Police seek man who punched store employee, stole 5 bags in Staten Island

GRANITEVILLE (PIX11)– Police are looking for an individual who stole five backpacks and punched a Staten Island store employee on Monday.

Police say the man entered a JC Penney on 140 Marsh Avenue and left the store with five backpacks without paying. As he was leaving the store, he punched a 60-year-old employee in the face, causing him cuts and bruises.

The bag-stealer is approximately 20-years-old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches, braided hair and slim build. He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt and camouflage pants.
