Man allegedly buys all Burger King’s pies to stick it to whining kid

(PIX11) – You know those days when everything seems to be going wrong and the only cure seems to be a sack of salty fast food to soothe your tensions?

That’s all a Canadian man wanted when he visited a Montreal food court to “treat himself” to Burger King.

But his splurge turned into an outrageous act of revenge when he bought all the pies in the restaurant to spite a whining child behind him in line, according to a Reddit post by user thr111.

If true, this may be one of the sweetest acts of revenge ever carried out.

The poster said he hopped on line with a headache and by the time he reached the counter, his pain swelled to migraine-levels because of a mother “yapping on her cellphone with a little monster of a child.”

The child was “out of control,” screaming and punching and throwing a Gameboy around, the poster wrote. The kid kept demanding pie, using an expletive not usually heard from the mouth of a 5-year-old, which the writer estimated the child to be.

He said he “calmly” turned around and asked the mom to quiet down her child, but the woman aggressively refused.

After some more yelling by both mother and child, the poster finally makes it to the counter.

“I then decide to ruin their day,” he recalled.

“I order every pie they have left in addition to my burgers. Turned out to be 23 pies in total, I take my order and walk towards the exit.”

He bought a mix of hot – or as he called them, “the traditional burn the roof of your mouth kind of pies” – and frozen pies.

He can’t remember exactly how she reacted when told there were no pies left for her kid, but whatever she said “she was not happy and looking for someone to blame.”

In an addendum to his original post written Tuesday, the writer said it all went down in early 2012. He never realized how strikingly similar the move was to an episode of “30 Rock,” a relation pointed out by skeptical Reddit users.

“The reason I only wrote about this a few days ago was because I had gone to BK where I am currently living and saw a child enjoying a pie there, this reminded me of what I had done and I wanted to know if it was the right choice,” he wrote. “Unable to answer it myself I turned to the vast collective mind that is Reddit to help me solve my dilemma.”

As for what happened to the treats, he ate a few of the pies and gave the rest of a coworker. And before you ask, no, he doesn’t have a receipt for his bizarre purchase.

But he does have remorse.

“If your (sic) out there, I do apologize for my actions, it was indeed childish of me, and I am sorry,” he wrote, addressing the pair he spurned.

You guys report the news and still refuse to proofread before posting. Other news outlets like CNN terminate writers who consistently make grammatical errors. You should really consider someone else looking over your work before posting. I really can’t even take this news agency seriously anymore. What a constant disappointment!
