RENTON, Wash. (PIX11) — Cops say a Washington woman set her husband on fire for allegedly molesting her 7-year-old daughter.

Tatanysha Hedman, 40, is accused of pouring gasoline over her husband, Vincent Phillips, as he slept, then setting him ablaze.

KOMO reports that 50-year-old Phillips then ran out of the apartment and stumbled into a convenience store screaming for help.

After her arrest, Hedman told investigators that she did it because he had hurt her daughter and that shooting him “was too nice.”

Phillips, who remains in intensive care, has since been charged with first-degree child molestation, according to the station.

Hedman has been jailed on assault and arson charges.
