Trio of thieves robs safe from Brooklyn store

SUNSET PARK (PIX11)-- Police are trying to find three men who beat up a Brooklyn store employee and robbed a safe Wednesday evening.

Authorities released surveillance footage Thursday detailing the incident that occurred on 810 60th Street. The video shows the men assaulting the 26-year-old employee and removing a safe that contained approximately $30,000, police say.

The men then fled to parts unknown.

Police described the thieves as follows:

  • A male in his 20's, 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches in height, with a slim build and a cornrows hair style wearing a gray sweatshirt.
  • A male in his 20's, 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet in height, with a medium build wearing a red sweatshirt. The suspect had a black firearm in his waistband.
  • A maleĀ  in his 20's, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches in height, with a slim build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
