NEW YORK (AP) — The New York City health department says it is conducting an emergency response drill on Friday.

The exercise is being conducted between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

It’s taking place at 30 locations across the city.

The agency says the drill will be the most comprehensive test yet of its ability to respond to large-scale public health emergencies.

It involves setting up temporary locations that would be used in the event of an emergency to dispense life-saving medication.

NYPD and other law enforcement vehicles will escort the agency’s supply trucks during the drill.
