PENSACOLA, Fla. (PIX11) – A terrifying moment for Florida beach-goers was caught on video this week when a hammerhead shark swam directly at a group of unaware bathers.

Dan Flynn recorded the close call and posted the video to YouTube.  From Flynn’s high vantage point, a group of people watched in horror as the shark — clearly visible to them but not to the swimmers — headed straight for the shallow water.

“Get out of the water!” one man screams.  “Look it’s coming right at them.”

A chorus of female voices then scream in unison when the swimmers don’t move — it’s the exact moment when the Jaws theme should start playing.

“Oh my God, they’re not even moving,” says the man in an exasperated tone.

Their fear was not without warrant, in 2013 Florida led the world in unprovoked shark attacks with 23.
