Second arrest made in violent elevator robbery in Brooklyn apartment building

MIDWOOD, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- A second arrest has been made in the violent robbery of an 18-year-old woman as she entered the elevator of her Brooklyn apartment building.

Malique Young, 18, was apprehended by police Thursday.

Young, along with Tyler Hoppin, also 18 and who was arrested Wednesday, are accused of robbing and beating the woman as she entered her Midwood apartment building on July 27.

The woman's nose was broken in the process and the suspects fled with her purse.

Young has been charged with second-degree robbery.
