SAN DIEGO (PIX11) — Peter Griffin and his brood are making their way to Springfield to visit TV’s other famous cartoon family the Simpsons.

A clip of the crossover episode debuted at San Diego Comic-Con.

In the special hour-long episode, the Griffins find themselves in Springfield where they become friends with the Simpson clan.

The fast friendship comes to a halt when Peter and Homer have an argument over Peter’s beloved Pawtuckett Patriot Beer.

According to Homer, Peter’s favorite beer is a lesser knock-off of Homer’s equally loved Duff.

“It may have been inspired by Duff, but I’d like to think it goes in a different direction,” Peter says, drawing an obvious comparison to the two shows.

The episode is the season premiere for “Family Guy” airing on Sept. 28.
