Suspect sought for robbing Bronx Carvel after buying ice cream cone

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- The search is on for a suspect who robbed a Carvel at gunpoint after paying for his ice cream cone.

Police say the suspect walked into the ice cream shop at 1250 Castle Hill Avenue in the Bronx on Thursday around 10:25 p.m.

The suspect then ordered an ice cream cone and paid for it.

After paying for the ice cream, the man pulled out a gun and demanded money from the clerk.

The worker complied and gave him the money.

The suspect then fled the scene.

According to police, the man they're looking for is 5-foot-9 and weighs 150 pounds.

He may have a tattoo on his right arm.
