Ice pick attack inside children’s clothing store in Queens

JAMAICA, QUEENS (WPIX) — Police are looking for a man who wielded an ice pick and attacked two security guards at a Queens store during a robbery.

It was Monday night at about 8 o’clock when an alarm sounded as the robber tried to leave Cookie’s Kids on Jamaica Avenue with stolen merchandise. The two guards attempted to stop the man when he pulled out the ice pick, striking one of the guards on the lip and the other in the arm. Neither was seriously injured.

Police are looking for a black male, 26 to 30 years old, standing 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, a camouflage hat and orange glasses.
