PROVO, Utah (PIX11) — A Utah woman accused of killing six of her newborns and storing their bodies in containers appeared in court Monday.
Megan Huntsman, 39, has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder.
Huntsman is accused of giving birth to seven babies in her Pleasant Grove home over the span of a decade.
The killings took place between 1996 and 2006.
Police say she was heavily into a meth addiction when she strangled or suffocated the infants.
A seventh baby was found in the Pleasant Grove garage, but police believe the baby was stillborn.
The story caught national attention in April when Huntsman’s ex-husband found a box containing what appeared to be a fetus.
When police arrived, they discovered the rest of the bodies.
Her attorneys have asked for a continuance until October so they can review all evidence in the case, according to FOX13 News.
Her lawyer Anthony Howell has declined to comment on the allegations.
Huntsman is in jail on a $6 million bail. She has not yet entered a plea.
