NEW YORK (PIX11) — An arrest has been made in the case of a 20-year-old woman who was raped inside her Manhattan apartment after opening her front door, police said Friday.

Police released photos of the attacker, whose unmistakable height — 6 feet 9 inches — was used as a point of reference for the public’s help in the case.

Jean Rodriguez, 23, of the Bronx, was arrested Thursday. He faces charges of rape, burglary, menacing, sexual abuse and criminal sexual act, NYPD said.

On Tuesday, Rodriguez allegedly knocked or rang the bell at a Washington Heights apartment. When the young woman answered the door, Rodriguez allegedly pushed his way into the apartment and raped her.

The man ran away, but first was captured by surveillance cameras.

The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation and was listed in stable condition.
