NEW YORK CITY (PIX11)– A new viral music video is going around about Brooklyn and how awesome their girls are, but not everyone is happy about how it’s representing the trendy borough.

The latest Brooklynite anthem is a bubbly depiction of hipsters, graffiti spots, ambiguous locations and of course, an L train stop station.

Catey Shaw from Virgina Beach is the voice behind the hit video that now has over 105,000 views in less than three days. She moved to New York City in 2010 to attend the School of Visual Arts as a painter but gradually discovered music was her art of choice.

The reaction on Twitter to her single has been mixed, at best.
