NEW JERSEY (PIX11)— Comedian Tracy Morgan is recovering from a car crash that nearly killed him and took the life of his friend, but took a moment to address reporters on his condition Monday.

While leaving his home in New Jersey, he greeted photographers with huge smile and a peace sign.

“I’m OK,” he told reporters from Entertainment Tonight. “I love you very much. Thank you very much. I appreciate everything.”

Morgan was in critical condition after the vehicle he and his entourage were traveling in collided with a Walmart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike early last month. He suffered a number of injuries including several broke ribs, a broken leg, broken nose and broken femur.

The 45-year-old “30 Rock” actor was recently released from rehab and is now suing Walmart for negligence.
