Police seek man who groped two women in Manhattan

MANHATTAN (PIX11) -- Police released video Friday showing a man wanted in connection with two groping incidents in Manhattan.

The surveillance footage shows the alleged groper entering a Manhattan apartment and waiting with tenants for the elevator. In both cases, he approached young women during early morning and touches their buttocks.

Police describe him as 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 175 to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sports jackets, black dress pants, a light colored dress shirt with black dress shoes.

Below are the two incidents, according to police:

  • On May 18 at about 2:52 a.m., the man grabbed a 24-year-old woman's buttocks inside of her apartment building near East 14th Street then fled.
  • On June 15 at about 2:05 a.m., he touched a 22-year-old woman's buttocks in the hallway of her apartment at Stuyvesant Oval then ran away.
