STOCKTON, Calif. (PIX11) — You probably won’t be seeing much of “hot felon” Jeremy Meeks for a long time.

Meeks, whose mugshot when viral when posted on a police department’s Facebook page, was turned over to federal custody Tuesday to face weapons charges — and he wasn’t camera ready like his infamous mugshot.

The convicted felon, who was arrested in a gang sweep,  became an internet sensation when women and men alike couldn’t help but notice his attractive mugshot.

Despite his convictions for robbery, identity theft, being an admitted (former?) gang member and spending time behind bars, Meeks gained fans across the country.

There were even several (false) reports that Meeks has landed a modeling contract.

However, the blue-eyed criminal’s future doesn’t look so glamorous as his state weapons charges are now a single federal felony charge. The other state charges have since been dropped. If convicted, Meeks may spend 10 years behind bars and a $250,000 fine.

Also, he won’t be posing for his closeup anytime soon, as no pictures will be allowed now that he’s in federal custody.
