Thief steals American flags from several Brooklyn homes

WINDSOR TERRACE, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A thief in Brooklyn was perhaps the most unpatriotic person ‘celebrating’ the 4th of July.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who stole at least seven American flags from residential homes in Windsor Terrace.

The suspect used a bike to ride along Sherman Street and 10th Avenue at about 5:30 a.m. Friday, removing flags from their poles and riding away. He is described as a white male in blue denim shorts and a bandana. He was carrying two back packs, according to police.
