JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (PIX11) –A suspected drunk driver has been charged with vehicular manslaughter after police say he struck and killed a man in Queens.

Police say Romulo Mejia of Bradenton, Florida hit an unidentified pedestrian with a rental car in Jackson Heights around 4:30 a.m., Saturday.

They say the 42-year-old has a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated and that he was driving without a license.
