Arrests made in beating death of homeless man outside Bronx church

THE BRONX (PIX11) — Police have arrested two men in connection to the brutal beating death of a homeless man outside a Bronx church.

Miguel Dircio was sleeping outside the on the steps of the St. Nicholas Tolentine Church June 19 when three men approached him and began kicking and stomping on his head, for seemingly no reason.

Dircio died of his injuries nine days later.

Tuesday, cops arrested 17-year-old Angel Monegro and 24-year-old Noel Martinez, both of the Bronx.

Monegro and Martinez have been charged with manslaughter.

The third suspect is still at large.
