FRESH MEADOWS, Queens (PIX11/AP) — An 8-year-old boy was found dead at a home in Queens where his injured father was also found, police said Monday.

Officers responding to a call about an emotionally disturbed person went to a home on Underhill Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, where they found the boy lifeless in a bed.

The child’s 41-year-old father, identified as Boujeke Kenmoe, was on the floor with wounds to both wrists, police said.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His father was taken to a hospital then arrested.

Kenmore faces a charge of second-degree murder, police said.

An investigation is ongoing. The medical examiner will determine the still-unidentified boy’s cause of death.
