NEW YORK (AP) — A joint funeral service is being held for two 13-year-old cousins who drowned last week in the Bronx River.

State Sen. Ruben Diaz says a viewing will be held Friday afternoon at the Bridges Community Church for Wellington Gavin and Erickson Villa.

The viewing will be followed by their funeral on Friday evening.

Donations are being sought to help send their bodies to the Dominican Republic.

Erickson’s parents, Robinson and Eve Villa, and Wellington’s mother, Wendy Villa, have expressed gratitude for an outpouring of community support.
